#ICIRCUIT DPDT PROFESSIONAL#
off topic I knowįrom my readings, just like you, I am not a professional EE, actually on the other side of the coin so to speak. I like to understand how sub circuits work, which then I can understand if and how to apply them and when parameters need to be changed.ĭoesn't the concept of 'asking' questions provide an inclination that one may lack even the smallest amount of confidence in their understanding of something, hence why they ask. This isn't a Frankenstein circuit, pulled from all different circuits scattered over the internet. that would depend if your circuit is high gain, low noise floor, shielded etc.įair point. you can rearrange this wiring if you plan on deleting one of the features. I actually invented a better way to do true bypass wiring on 3PDT by grounding both the input and the output. the bypass was technically not try bypass but it was close enough. the dry signal was disconnected from the output when the circuit was engaged. the switch lug that had ground in the middle would go up to light the LED or down to ground the circuit after the second gain stage. you still get crosstalk by induction of AC sound. if you let it boost the guitar all four gain stages will scream so it doesn't matter if you short the output to ground. this is because the muff is high gain so if you mute the input it will blast the amplified noise floor out the output.

they grounded the signal after the first two gain stages before the last two gain stages. The old russian big muff had an unusual true bypass.
